I Stand Corrected.

Hmmm...maybe I don't know everything? Cause uh...after watching this, I hella wanna watch Elizabeth Berkley on the 6th season of the L Word. haha...

Unlike me, she's actually quite engaging and articulate:

(Thanks so much to this reader for sending me this clip)

"Do we need any juice on the legs, or are you not going down that far?" is now my favorite sentence in existence, by the way. I'm gonna use it from now on for EVERYTHING. If I ever have to do a photoshoot for whatever god awful reason, those will be the first words to escape from my lips before they start clicking.

Just as a side thought, when was the last time you saw two really good friends act as awkward AND familiarly comfortable with each other as these two? This interview reminded me of what it would be like if Karen Walker and Beverly Leslie had to do a PSA together. Lots of eye scratching and air kissing, with a dash of "we fucked once the night before my wedding and now I can't be around you without wanting to simultaneously lick your shoulder blade and clothesline you."

Whether or not the chemistry (or lack their of?) will translate seamlessly to the show, I think we can all agree that January can't come soon enough...

Jenny's Left Boob Must Have Been Left Out of This Production Meeting.

Um...so did you guys hear? Elizabeth Berkley is joining the L Word in season 6.

I think "caffeine" pill-addicted Jessie Spano said it (half) best when she was having her meltdown on Saved by the Bell:

And so are we, Jessie Spano. So are we.

Who else thinks this is exactly how Elizabeth's first day on set was like. In today's scene, the role of Ilene Chaiken will be played by the red-headed gay dude from random sitcoms:

Now you know I'll give credit where credit's due, so I do have to say that she's looking really good in her 30s...and I enjoyed her work in "First Wives Club."

But still...why??

Picture It...

Ms. Getty passed away today. She touched so many people's lives and she will be missed. There's an awesome wave of tribute videos popping up on Youtube right now. Check them out.

And here's one of my favorite clips from The Golden Girls:

Love it...

L Word Spin-off

What's that I hear? Ah, yes: the sound of a gazillion lesbians coming at once. It's a beautiful sound. Keep it up.

I might be late on this cause I've had my head buried in Mcphee's lap INTERLUDE work, but did you hear the news? I heard from my favorite L Word fansite www.thelwordonline.com that there will be a spin-off! Now for those of you who don't know, a spin-off is like a dance-off, except on a spin-off, you get to keep your clothes (and your dignity). Plus, there's no trophy.

Here's the info from the Showtime press release:

Showtime is working on a spinoff to its drama series "The L Word," which will have its final season bow early next year. Showtime president of entertainment Robert Greenblatt made the announcement Friday at the Television Critics Assn. press tour at the Beverly Hilton.

Greenblatt said the "L Word" spinoff is in the early stages and didn't offer up a lot of details. He did say that "L Word" creator/exec producer Ilene Chaiken is creating the spinoff, which will shoot after "L Word" wraps production on its sixth and final season this year. It will star one of the actresses from the drama series, which will end its run with an open-ended story line that will continue online. Should the spinoff get a series pickup, the story line will continue in the as-yet-untitled project.

Greenblatt said the chosen actress does not yet know it will feature her. Pressed for more details, he said only: "We're still forming it. I'm sure I have a million e-mails already from loyal viewers about it, but we're still in the process of figuring it out."

That's hot.

Who do you think it will be? Let the speculation begin!

I'm calling for a Rachel Shelley/Helena spin-off (in my pants). I'd watch that ish like WHOA. But we all know it'll either be Kate Moennig/Shane or Leisha Hailey/Alice. Who else thinks they should do a spin-off about Jenny's...left...boob!?

Uno, Dos, Tres, Vagina!

I feel like I've definitely featured this video on the blog before but I can't remember when. I watched it about 14 times just now to try to jog my memory. And even if I did post it before, I think we'll all agree to not complain about having to watch it again. Verdad?

I was better at Spanish than I was at French in Jr. High, so I think loosely translated, what that one chick was saying was something along the lines of, "Arlan's got the camera and she said we can, ya know, do it, now. So let's...ya know...do it."

Aw, bless.

Truth or Dare

After stumbling across this teaser vid for the movie "Truth Hall," I of course went on a mad search for more. The movie's official website has a long trailer, and I haven't been this confused since the trailer for that Selma Blair/Morgan Freeman joint last year. So what I've decided to do is just play the teaser vid over and over...and over..and over... and create my own story. Feel free to do the same...cause damn.

...I mean damn.

Lara Croft Logan: Boob Raider

I seriously couldnt' think of anything better than "boob raider."

*sigh*

As you know, I don't like to talk too much about women. I don't like to talk about their sexiness or their sex. Their lips, voices, breasts and skin are off limits usually. I am by all accounts...a lady. But uh...DAMN Lara Logan, why you gotta be so fine? And intelligent? And ballsy? And real? And sexy?

I'd pay good money to listen to Lara and Charlize Theron talk to each other about anything.

Your Your Legs the Word!

If you think AfterEllen.com and Ourchart.com should know about INTERLUDE magazine, please send them an email telling them why. If they get enough messages, maybe they'll write about the mags and help add to the grassroots promotion since our advertising budget is nonexistent. haha...

Here's the contact info, but only write to them if you really believe in the magazine and only email each site once:-) Quality emails are better than quantity:

afterellentips@gmail.com

and

ourchart.com/contact

If you know of any other lesbian-related sites, forums, blogs, print or television media that might be interested, feel free to pass it on to them as well.

Thanks for being sexy.

Your Mom Goes to College..and Shane's Bagina

Hey ladies! Alrighty well I first want to apologize for not keeping the blog up to date the past few weeks. I've been super mega busy putting together the first issue of my new lesbian-friendly magazine INTERLUDE. One day I'll go into all the details about what it takes to make an issue happen, but today ain't that day. Instead, I'm just going to let you know that the daily lesbian moments are back...and I won't fail you again. Well, I might fail you again if I actually start, ya know, doin' it regularly. Cause I'll be busy. *ahem* Make sure you keep those comments a-flowin'. Love you like Christmas!

I totally don't remember this scene, but it's hilarious:

Ah, remember the good old days? I do.

I Believe the 10 Year Lesbian Relationship Anniversary Receives Rachel Shelley. Or is it Paper?

From an amazing reader and her girlfriend!

My girlfriend and I are avid readers of your Lesbian Blog. We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary today. She means the world to me. We've lived together 9 of the 10 years and the first year was a long distance relationship. We've never had a real fight even once during the 10 years. I truly believe that I found my soulmate. I wish everyone could experince this kind of love and bliss in their lives. I knew she was the one the moment I saw her, and I haven't stopped thinking about her for one day since I did. You're awesome, we love your blog it's always entertaining.

New Jill Swing....s Our Way.

JUST stumbled upon this couple...and um...I don't think I've ever publicly proposed to two women at the same time, but I'm down on my knee ladies. Is there any more room for me...in them jeans?

No seriously, the one chick first caught my eye cause her video was called "lesbian stud...singing." So of course Imma click on that shit, right? Then I click on it, and she can actually...well...sing!

So I was excited. Then I saw she had a series of videos in her profile with this other girl that she says she loves...and guess what. Other girl can sing too!

It's like they stepped outta my dreams and into my bar. And this is just...sweet. Watch it all the way through...haha:

Hopefully they'll let me start a trio with them and we can tour the world being hella cute...

My Day With Margaret Cho and Roseanne!

Is it Thursday? The days are all flowing together these days. I can't tell if that's cause I'm getting older, or if it's because working on the magazine is kicking my ass. Mayhaps a wee bit of both?

For those of you who've asked me to keep you up with what's going on with the making of INTERLUDE here's a little update. For those of you who find this part of things really boring and just wanna see boobies and chicks kissing, stay tuned to my blog later today as I will be providing both. :-)

So we started working on the issue 24 days ago. We have another 8 days or so before everything has to be ready to print. Putting together something like this is sort of like making an EP or a music video or a short film. It takes a LOT of talented people to pull together and a LOT of hard work. My role is that of the writer/director/producer, if you want to put it in terms of a making a video. Then think about ALL the other people who go into making something like this. I'm so excited to have the best photographer, assistant, copy editors, transcriber, designers, circulation manager, boob show-ers...EVER.

Every day is different while working on the mag. One day it'll be 12 hours gay straight of sitting on the computer, researching, writing, editing and losing my mind a bit more. And the next day it might be so much fun and surreal, you don't really believe it's happening. For instance, last Friday, my living room was transformed for a photo shoot (I used my crib so we could save money...we're doin' this indie style!). There were lights and cameras and make up and chicks everywhere. Those are the more fun days.

And speaking of surreal, I don't know about you guys, but I spent 9 years of my life growing up being entertained and educated by this woman and this tv show:

And today I am so proud, honored and just...amazed...to be able to say that Roseanne is part of this (re)launch issue! As you know our two covers this issue are Australian singer Missy Higgins and comedian Margaret Cho. Roseanne interviewed Margaret for her cover story! Not only that, Roseanne suggested that we film the interview at her studio and she and Margaret would post little clips from it on their site all throughout the month of July to help me promote the magazine. How cool is that??

Today she came through on her promise and posted this clip on her personal site RoseanneWorld.com.
It will soon also be on MargaretCho.com:

This interview was one of the best I've ever had in the magazine and I can't wait for you guys to read it! To subscribe today, choose "add to cart" at the top of this site. Each subscription helps to keep the magazine going, so I thank you in advance!
