i was just made aware of "The Cause of Lacaze". 35 year old Shahnaz Lacaze (sounds like "la-cause") was very recently diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer called angiosarcoma.
my mother has cancer so this means a lot to me. and the fact that Shahkaz is so young and is part of our *community* makes this hit very close to home.
Shahnaz' friends are trying to raise $5,000 to pay for the health insurance deductible. they've raised $2,000 so far and are still going strong. any amount will help. if you make a donation (or buy one of their shirts), let me know (dont have to tell me the amount)...im not sure what i'll do with the list of names, but i figured i could help somehow and i REALLY want you guys to pitch in if you can...
