The Brave Hot One...

How did I miss that Jodie Foster is genuinely hot?

Guess I never payed attention before. Let this be a lesson, young ladies. Keep your eyes open. Stop and smell the hos...es.

Ahem.

Oh and pleeeeease don't give any spoilers in the comments section of this post. But let me know if you've seen The Brave One, if you plan on seeing it in theaters, or if you could care less. I'm gonna check it out sometime this week just cause I like lesbians with guns and shit.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the trailer for the movie last night in the theater!

If I can find a buddy to go with, I'll definitely check it out!

I saw the movie yesterday. It's better than the critics would have you believe, but not as good as Jodie's capable of. Then again, she's never been good at picking out the best films to showcase her amazing talent. ("Hotel New Hampshire" anyone?)

I heard Mr. Moviephone say that he had a hard time believing when she was kissing Naveem Andrews that it was legit due to the decades of rumors about her sexuality. I'll say that I think it's not difficult for an actor to play happy and in love (esp. an actor as accomplished as Foster), but that I felt the tenderness she showed to the hooker Chloe seemed more genuine. Again though, that could just be her acting skills at work.

To Sophie; Foster doesn't discuss her personal life so it's mainly just rumor. I think that she has a right considering she's been in the spotlight since she was 2 and showing us her butt in those Coppertone ads. There's a story that when she was a teen she admitted to being gay. Then that whole crazy, presidential shooting, stalker thing happened and she really withdrew and stopped talking about her personal life.

That being said, she's 45 and never been married and has 2 kids. What do you think?

p.s. "Hotel New Hampshire" is a terrible movie, but Jodie does make out with Natassja Kinski so there's is that to recommend it. Mmm. Yummy.

The movie is bad ass! It made me want to buy a gun...and the best part is--you get to see her boobies! She is freaken sexy and I've thought so since Silence of the Lambs. Everyone thought I was crazy. But she is!! Especially in this movie. Mmmmm..But really. On a serious note, the movie does give a good point about women standing up for themselves and fighting for whats right when the law does nothing. It's one I'm going to buy and watch all the time. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!!

"Standing up for themselves and fighting for what's right"? Jodie herself said when asked, and without hesitation, that her character in this movie is WRONG. Even her character, Erica, is torn apart by how awful the person she's become is, this is actually what the movie is about. Despite the trailers, the film is not about vigilantism, but about Erica's internal struggle with the death of her fiance and the changes it causes in her. It's also about how the person she's become causes Terrence Howard's character to question his beliefs. The ending, which I won't disclose, emphasizes this theme.

This film is actually a character study. Just now, as I watch the Emmys, a commercial for it came on with a rock soundtrack. I found this shocking since the featured song in the film is by Sarah McLachlan. Another case of a film being misrepresented, which ultimately only causes viewer dissatisfaction.

So, Arlan, if you're hoping Jodie will fill the butt-kicking void left by the cancellations of Xena and Buffy, you'll be disappointed. If you're looking for strong acting and a well-crafted script, you'll be satisfied.

I'm going to see the movie Saturday night. I've seen the preview, and it looks pretty good. Plus, Jodie Foster in a leather jacket is hot.

I'm planning on asking this girl that I like to go with me. I hope she says yes. I really really hope she says yes. *crosses fingers*

um YEAH! I never knew she was hot either. My friend said a sound came out of me that she never wants to hear again during a flashback scene (you'll know it when you see it). HOT! sad, but HOT, mostly.

Just saw the movie today. Excellent movie. I loved it! It shows Jodie Foster being a bad ass but also tender. When is Jodie Foster not hot?
