"Arlan, I need your help. I have a very good friend living in New Hampshire. She is legally married to her wife Laura and they have a 5 month old daughter. A week before they found out Richanne Petrigno was pregnant, they found out she has a brain tumor. She cannot work because of the tumor, so she doesn't have insurance. Laura has insurance, but her insurance won't cover her wife, because the federal government does not recognize same-sex marriage. She can't get state help because she is married in a state that recognizes same-sex marriage. Richanne's brain tumor is growing and getting very bad. She is afraid to pick up the baby. She can't cook or drive because she gets dizzy. I am sure that her story is not unique, but this is her life and I cannot imagine losing her because of money and greed.
