she said "yes!"

here's a lovely little clip a reader sent in of her proposing to her girlfriend at Gay Prom 2007 last weekend. since the reader lives in Philadelphia, im going to assume it took place there (correct me if im wrong!).

its hard to really hear exactly what theyre saying, but all you need to know is that *she said "yes!"* :-)

you can send them congrats here :-)

i didnt go to prom. i had a girlfriend at the time who lived in another city country and she wasnt in town then. plus, i dont like wearing dresses so i didnt wanna go alone or with friends. soo...it was a tv dinner night for me. did i miss anything? how was YOUR prom? tell me about it...

That was so adorable! Man, my prom was nothing like that. My prom was okay, except it was at the time that I still thought I liked boys. So I went with one. We matched very well, though. We even died our hair the same colour. (I wonder when he's going to come out!) But my high school likes to have prom on a boat, in the river. It's a nice idea, but you can't leave when ever you want. I'm not much of a dancer, so I sat with my friends under one of the stairs (the boat had three levels.) It was a great place to look up girls' dresses. One of my friends was very, very tipsy and decided to flash everyone, and we have pictures of her doing so. So it was a good time. I did the stereotypical "I'm 'straight' and it's after prom, so let's get a hotel room!" That kind of sucked, too, but I had great breakfast after. That was my prom. Wish it could have been better, but it definitely could have been worse.

i went with the scariest goth girl in school. we were just friends. and had a hilarious and awesome time. however, i was all crushed out on this girl in the dance dept. (i went to an arts high school) and though she was going with one of the hot film guys, we did it the night before prom. all in all a successful prom adventure.

my prom was horrible. I went with my first love and she ended up getting really drunk so i spent the whole night takeing care of her. we broke up two weeks later. C'est La Vie. after we broke up i had sex with her older sister who was visiting from college on her bed. life's funny that way.

Yes this happened in Philly. My actual prom was not nearly as wonderful as this one. I went with a boy. It was whatever...I hung out with friends and stuff so that was fun. Except at my first prom I wore a dress...here, as you can see, I got to wear the bowtie and pants. Deff a much better time!! Plus...now I am engaged!!!

My prom was pretty good (a year ago in May). I went with the only openly gay guy in my school. He actually didn't go to my school anymore, but we clicked being the gay ones and just because. So yeah, we went to prom and joked about straight dancing and stuff. I also got to dance with this one girl who I would later have sex with. :D

haha, that video was cute arlan.

hmm. prom was pretty awesome, which was totally not expected. it was in san francisco...I went with my girlfriend at the time and we were actually in the top 10 best dressed in the yearbook. I had on a sexy mocha-colored lady tux and she had on a silky chocolate dress that clung to her curves deliciously. danced a lot, got cross-faded after...twas a fun night.

Ok my prom was awsome. Imagine if you will a small conservative town in Watkins Glen. The number of kids in grades 9-12...about 450. Prom is the biggest event that goes on. So why was it special? Well lets just say I think my school pulled off a first. My friend Andrew (who is gay) and I won prom king and queen. Yep. Belive what I am telling you. Probably for the first time EVER there was a lesbian prom queen and a gay prom king. No it wasn't a joke, we just had alot of friends who rallyed for us.
Thanks for putting this site up. It makes my day!~Octavia
