I actually prefer the original "If I Were A Boy" by BC Jean.
I dunno, I just can't get down with Beyonce's. And far too may times, especially lately, she's been accused of biting someone elses style.
Ciara's on the other hand, I love! I love the lyrics, the concept, the video, choreography. It was a great vid, very original.

I really value Ciara's inclusion of (what appear to be) masculine identified women in her video. Her tune is a bit more catchy to me, and I'm disappointed that it didn't get more airtime than gave it. Do you think gender-bending Ciara et. al. could have been perceived as a threat to masculinity and that's why it didn't become more popular?
