did this make me gay?

yes. yes it did.

from the Lifetime movie "The Truth About Jane."

this post is a shoutout to my straight friend Sarah for sitting through this movie with me night after night a few years ago. remember i used to force you to watch it up in my room on my little tv/vcr combo thingy? i kept the vhs recording in my top drawer with my underthings and when i opened it, id light up.

and remember how i said "underthings" up there, just now? thats for Sarah too.

underthings.

i remember when this movie first aired, i wished SO hard that they had something like it when i was 16 and coming out to myself and other people. and also, the chick who played Taylor is hot. and the chick who played Jane is hot. and her parents said that a lot of other "bigger" celebs in hollywood were offered the part, but turned it down cause they were chicken shit. i added the chicken shit part. but thats the reason.

these days, if you go gay, you're almost guaranteed an oscar nomination. let that be a lesson to you hollywood parents!

if you wanna see the rest of this movie, click on the vid and it will take you to the original post. then go to the user's profile and you can see all the vids. or you can go to your local vid store and pick up a copy. netflix and blockbuster.com will do the trick as well.

Thanks for posting this. I'm sort of surprised at how much better this movie is compared to most Lifetime movies.

'Jane' is played by a lady named Ellen Muth, and shes a well kool and funny actress as she later went on to play georgia aka 'george' in a dark humoured series called Dead Like Me. the sad part is, only after 2 great seasons, the bastards killed the show.

ive also seen that movie, and i think it the parents couldve acted a little better, especially the dad. heh, just my opinion.

Stockard Channing's been in some pretty cool stuff since Grease but one of my favorites has to be 'To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar' I just can't get enough of Patrick Swayze in drag, but back to this movie, your post made me watch this whole thing, I'm not much into lifetime movies so I've never seen this before but like it's been said before, this movie is awesome! and Ellen Muth is cool too, and cute. woo

Have to agree with most posters that Ellen Muth is great. "Dead Like Me" was one of the best TV shows in a long time. Not surprisingly the creator of DLM also created "Wonderfalls" which also features a young, anti-social woman as it's lead.

As for Stockard Channing, she has done many things besides "Grease". "Six Degrees of Separation" comes to mind instantly. She is a goddess and anything she appears in is better as a result.

I remember watching this on TV only a few weeks after I came out to myself. My parents didn't know yet and acted all weird watching it. I had to watch the last part of it by myself since my parents were all uncomfortable. It kinda scared me actually, but now my parents are all accepting of my sexuality. Wow that was 3 years ago.
